Pete LovelandPete Loveland - General Manager - 26 years of service - Pete, our fearless leader is the positive and upbeat fellow you will get to know as a regular at Maze Lumber. Pete has been involved in the lumber industry since his college days, when he worked part time here at the yard during the summers. After graduation, he worked for a lumber wholesaler in Bloomington, and gained further experience in a custom woodworking shop in Gridley before returning to work full time for Maze in 1984. As a 5th generation descendant of the founders of Maze Lumber, Pete takes great pride in the lumber yard and it shows, as evidenced by the company slogan "Whatever It Takes". Pete's hobbies include woodworking and outdoor activities.

Walt KoteckiWalt Kotecki - Operations Manager - 26 years of service - Walt is second in charge at Maze Lumber and does his best to fill Pete's shoes when he is not around. Walt graduated from Illinois State University with a degree in Industrial Technology. While at ISU Walt's minor was business administration which helps him with his day to day tasks. Walt keeps Maze Lumber stocked with all kinds of goodies, including fasteners, caulking, molding and shingles just to name a few. Being a former carpenter and contractor has given Walt a lot of practical experience to draw from. With his past experience Walt is not only great at identifying the problem but also finding a solution to the problem. In his down time Walt enjoys woodworking, model railroading, and selling real estate.

Bill JustiBill Justi - Fireplace Specialist - 36 years of service - Bill sets the high water mark for seniority at Maze Lumber, where he has worn many hats. Some of his jobs have included yardman, driver, showroom manager, and currently he is our fireplace guru. Bill is willing to assist with any questions about gas, wood, and green fireplaces. Bill also has a great knowledge of all our showroom material. When not at Maze you can find Bill bailing hay and raising mules.

Todd AndersonTodd Anderson - Outside Salesman - 16 years of service - Another long time Maze Lumber employee Todd helps many of our outside contractors. Todd originally started as a part-timer while attending St. Francis University earning his Marketing degree. When Todd finished school he worked as a full-time driver, before moving into his current position as an outside salesman. Todd is not only great at serving our customers with his knowledge of the building industry but he is also Maze Lumber's resident musician.

Joe SalzJoe Salz - Outside Salesman - 11 years of service - Joe has what seems like a lifetime of experience working in the lumber industry. What many do not know about Joe is he started working in the lumber industry after he received his Associate's Degree in Criminal Justice from IVCC. Joe came to Maze Lumber to fill an outside sales position and since taking the position he has been nothing but an asset to the Maze Lumber family. With a vast knowledge of the building industry, Joe will be able to help you with all of your building needs. When his work is done at Maze Lumber Joe appreciates time with his family and time in his shop.

Ray RueRay Rue - Receiving - 9 years of service - Ray is the first face you see when walking into Maze Lumber. Always eager to provide his angle on the hot topics in the office, Ray receives the stock and special order material when it arrives at the yard. Ray has many years of experience in the lumber business. Much of his knowledge does not just come from his work experience but he also has a Bachelors Degree in Forestry from the University of Illinois. When Ray is not at the yard, you will most likely find him on a pond fishing pole in hand or gracefully gliding across a dance floor.

Jennifer SmithJennifer Smith - Bookkeeper - 9 Years of service - Jenny is rarely found in the main office at Maze Lumber. But she is usually hard at work in her office, taking care of all the necessary paperwork that keeps the lumberyard running smoothly. Bookkeeping is not the only job Jenny excels at, she also assists with maintaining inventory and creating special orders.

Chadd KreofskyChadd Kreofsky - Inside Sales - 5 Years of service - Chadd came to us from the Land of Lakes, via Cornell College where he received his Bachelor degree in Political Science, International Relations, and Communications. He not only assists the Maze Lumber customers in the office but he is also in charge of our advertising and inventory. Chadd much like his Uncle Pete shows a great passion for the lumber yard. This passion is part of being a sixth generation descendent of the Maze family. Chadd's greatest passion at the lumber yard is designing decks. Chadd not only has knowledge to help you with your project but he also has the software to help create your deck. When away from the yard Chadd can be found ice climbing, kayaking, or rock climbing.

Patty HennesseyPatty Hennessey - Kitchen and Bath specialist - 4 Years of service - Tired of your dull and dreary kitchen/bath? Patty is the person you will want to see at Maze Lumber. Having about 20 years of experience in kitchen and bath design, Patty will turn your dream into a reality. Not quite sure what your dream is? Patty has the software to help create your vision. During the warmer months you may see Patty out and about on her Harley taking in the scenery with her husband.

David MunsonDavid Munson - Inside Sales - 3 Years of service - David started at Maze Lumber as a driver. When an opening became available for an inside position, David was the perfect fit. He became a helper to Bill, our fireplace specialist. His duties also include waiting on customers and helping them figure out our vast offering of products. He also handles our radio advertising and performs a wide variety of office tasks for the lumberyard. David earned a Bachelors Degree in Communications from Western Illinois. This degree aids him with communicating with the customers. So when you call or visit Maze Lumber, there is a good chance you'll be talking to David. In his spare time he enjoys watching his beloved Fighting Illini and spending time with his two dogs Lola and Mischa.

Andrew KreofskyAndrew Kreofsky - Showroom Sales - 1 Year of service - Andrew is also a sixth generation descendent of the Maze Lumber family. He currently sets up shop in the back of the showroom. Andrew is the guy you want to come to when you are in need of assistance with cultured stone, flooring, and all of your bathroom needs. To keep Andrew busy he also helps keep our showroom stocked with the material needed to get your job done. Andrew fancies himself as a woodworker in his spare time.
