PRODUCTS: STAIN
Maze Lumber has been providing fine millwork and molding to the Illinois valley since 1848. To ensure a top quality finish on these products, we also provide the finest in stains and finishes. With the variety of wood finishes on the market today, it is sometimes tough to really separate the quality from the mediocre. Maze is proud to carry 3 different lines of top quality stains.
Cabot Stain has been successful product for Maze lumber for many years now. The late Peter Loveland (Maze Co. president from 1979-2000) was a huge fan of the Cabot stain line. Whether he was staining the siding on his own house, putting the finishing touches on a deck or sealing an old piece of lawn furniture, he used nothing but the best. Cabot offers stains to suit any need. With a full product line to cover solid, semi-solid and transparent siding stain needs, and even composite deck stain, Cabot will cover your every outdoor application.
When it comes to the staining of indoor woodwork, General Finishes is a product line offering the exact product you need. Used by many of the finest craftsmen and wood finishers, we know that you can't go wrong with General Finishes. Located in a 30,000-square-foot plant in East Troy, Wisconsin, about 25 miles west of Milwaukee, General Finishes produces the deepest and broadest line of professional water-based and solvent based products in the country: pigmented stains, dye stains, colored acrylics, glazes, exterior coatings, acrylics, pre-catalyzed urethanes, sanding sealers, and color studio programs for your own in-house color matching. What we do not carry in stock, we have quick access as a special order.
Maze also carries color match stains from Western Building Products to match their prefinished doors and trim. Western stains have now evolved as much of the stain market has, to a water based product, and we are proud to offer in stock, Western's Medium, Meadow, Light and Springbrook. We also offer color match gel stains for Thermatru doors and other manufacturer's fiberglass exterior doors. Gel stain kits make finishing your new door a snap with a kit that includes everything you'll need, including the brush, stain, gloves and finish coat. Finally, Maze lumber is also one of the only local suppliers of Penofin wood finishes. Perfect for finishing cedar, sealing outdoor furniture, or finishing a wooden deck, Penofin is the perfect solution. Penofin is manufactured by a privately owned and operated company that began making finishes primarily for the cedar and redwood market. The product has evolved over the years with a proven track record as a successful finish for treated lumber, as well as the new imported exotic hardwoods now on the market.
So whatever the future holds for your staining and finishing needs, always remember Maze Lumber is there to put on that final coat with you.
